In the silence of nature, in
a panoramic position (336 metres above sea level) immersed between
olive groves and age-old oak woods, we find the holiday farm LE
CAPANNE.
We are in the Valle di Chio, one of the smallest and most charming
Appennine valleys, near Castiglion Fiorentino. Once upon a time
an old stone farmhouse, today LE CAPANNE has been restructured
and it has all the modern comforts while keeping its rustic features.
The house is made up of 4 large completely indipendent apartments
each with sleeping accomodation for 4 to 6 people, with a total
of 19. The apartments have double or twin bedrooms, a living area,
a well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms. (The ground floor apartments
have access for disabled people). The complex has a swimming pool
and also a large fenced garden with garden furniture and barbeques.
- The beautiful house is part of a farm which produces organic
food and covers 100 hectares. It produces extra virgin olive oil
and excellent quality wine. In addition, you can taste seasonal
fruits cultivated on the farm such as cherries, pears, apples,
plums, apricots, walnuts, figs, grapes, chestnuts and fruits of
the forest.
- It is an ideal holiday for those who want to discover the flavours
of the Tuscan countryside, but also for those who want to find
out about Tuscan traditions and spend unforgettable days in a
familiar and warm atmosphere.
In the splendid surrounding area rich in pathways, guests can
go trekking, mountain biking and horse riding (there are stables
about 7 km away). From the farmhouse it is easy to reach the most
beautiful cities of art in Tuscany and Umbria. On request, there
are organised tours, cooking, painting and Italian courses and
it is also possible to take part in the grape and olive harvests.
